Appearance: S/he is of medium build and always impeccably dressed, no matter what the occasion, and smells subliminally of summer peaches. Who is to say what Desire really looks like? Male, female, breathtaking beauty personified in one entity. Tawny gold eyes miss nothing; a perfect cupid's bow forms the very strands of seduction, Desire is a portrait of the purest of obsession, and bittersweet longing.

Desire is neither female nor male and yet Desire is both at the very same time. S/he casts two shadows, one black and sharp edged, and another translucent and wavering like the morning mist. Both reflect Desire's nature, Desire's existence, and yet they are nothing.

Desire is everything you ever wanted, Desire is what you need to exist, and yet Desire is what you will hate and loathe and love with all your heart and soul S/he is nothing and everything at the same time. Whoever you are, whatever you are, to see Desire is to love him/her, passionately, painfully, and to the exclusion of all else, for this is the curse and the sublime gift that s/he bestows upon every one. Desire takes special delight in egging those who think they are beyond emotions altogether, acting as a cupid of sorts and leaving them bereft after.

Personality:

Desire is a cruel master/mistress; the world of humans - every single dimension of them - is his/her playground. S/he is Desire, and yet s/he desires nothing, for who can desire oneself? His/her very nature is manipulative; and s/he loves his/her existence, enjoying the lengths humans would go to to fulfill their own desires. It is very difficult to accurately put down his/her personality, for it changes from person to person. However, in the family of the Endless, s/he is the most arrogant, vindictive, cruel, and manipulative. Desire falls short of Love, which would perhaps account for the slight tinge of bitterness in her/his nature.

Nevertheless, Desire is not miserable - not in the loosest sense of the word. S/he revels in his/her existence, in the fact that no one could do without him/her. Desire will wreak havoc over your body until nothing else in your life matters except for that single feeling of pleasure.

And like the emotion, Desire is fickle, indeed, often flitting from one thing to another at the drop of a hat.

Abilities: Desire.

Weaknesses: Desire does what Desire likes, when s/he likes, and how s/he likes, without regard for the consequences. Unlike the rest of her siblings, who know that the Endless were there to serve mankind, not lord over them, s/he dismisses that fact and firmly believes that s/he is the master/mistress of his/her own destiny. And that, perhaps, would be Desire's fatal flaw, for pride can fell just about anybody, including the Endless.

History:

Desire is the third youngest of the Endless, with a twin, Despair. They both act in tandem, as it was speculated that they were once as one. S/he was not as close to the Endless as her sibling Despair was, although s/he was once close to Morpheus - Or Dream, as he is known in the family. However, because of Desire's and Dream's conflicting personalities, many events eventually drove them apart.

Dream talks to his lover, Killalla about Desire, "But Desire is already here! My love, you must meet Desire. My favorite sibling, if such a thing is possible. So funny and so kind."
And it was hinted on that Desire was the one who gave Dream, Killalla. Meaning that it made Killalla love Dream.
Dream says, "I owe you thanks, my sibling, inadequte thanks, and so much more. How can I ever repay what you have given me?"
Desire answers, "Well, perhaps you should begin by introducing us."
Killalla has blue skin, Desire says, "Such a pretty thing. Blue skin. What a pleasant conceit." Its skin changes to blue, "There. Look at me everyone. I have blue skin TOO!"
The story goes on that Killalla finds herself loving another guy, Sto-Oa.
Dream saw them and he immediately looks for Desire, when he found it, "Killalla of the Glos is with Sto-Oa."
Desire: Yes.
Dream : They were kissing.
Desire: They were. They've gone far beyond that now..."
Dream : Enough! You find this funny?
Desire: Actually, yes.

Desire's obsession for meddling in the affairs of the older Endless siblings, especially Dream's, were one of the reasons that their distance had evolved into enmity.

It was further enhanced when a vindictive Desire raped a woman, Rose Walker's grandmother; his/her plan was to force Dream to kill Desire's descendant, and thus murder his own blood. A crime that would result in death for Dream himself.

Desire, like the Endless, exist in every plane, and are thus able to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time. However, one day in the many millions of days Desire had lived through, the corporeal form of Desire has thus stumbled into the land Paixao, the city s/he had never been in and yet had an intimate knowledge of the people.

It called his/her name.

And Desire responded.
